THE ROLE

Bayley House is seeking to appoint a contemporary professional to the role of Program Manager. Reporting to the General Manager Community & Life Skills, the Program Manager will lead a team of staff to ensure all services meet participants' needs and are delivered with a person-centered active support framework.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative, responsive, and customer-focused person with superlative interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. With a demonstrated history of program/activity portfolio management in day services from conceptualisation through to developing and implementation, s/he will be an empathetic person, collaborative and demonstrate an appetite for change. Sound business acumen and excellent planning and organisation will be showcased by the incumbent, although s/he will enjoy humanistic connection and foster respect and empathy across all dealings above all else.

While experience in disability, health and/or education is preferred, it is not essential that the appointee hail from such a background. Notwithstanding, the incumbent will have a strong track record of performance in a similar role in a complex environment, having had substantial experience in the provision of ‘active support’ to people with disabilities. Professionals with extensive experience in planning, designing, implementing and evaluating programs for individuals with an intellectual disability will be held in high regard. S/he will possess demonstrated working knowledge of legislative frameworks/National Disability and Insurance Scheme and collaborate and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. With a genuine desire to operate within the for-purpose sector, indisputable connection to the mission and values of Bayley House will be essential.
