About the role

As the Manager, Statewide you will play a critical role in developing and overseeing  Scitech's Statewide projects which aim to advance the enthusiasm and capacity of participating students, parents and educators across WA in STEM content. 

As a part of Scitech's leadership team, the position is responsible for not only the management of this unique team of STEM delivery professionals but also in the development of program content and strategy, the daily operational and logistical requirements, customer experience monitoring and marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations and systems of all Statewide programs and bookings, including staffing, resources, vehicles, freight, purchasing and touring schedules.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of Statewide programs to maximise STEM engagement.
  • Support with the recruitment, induction, training and management of Scitech's Statewide presenters.
  • Assist in developing marketing and engagement plans for all Statewide programs and activities.
  •  Exploring new opportunities to engage with Western Australians in STEM.
  • Coordinate Statewide tour and regional event content and logistics.

Skills and experience

Essential skills and experience required include:

  • An overwhelming love of STEM and a passion to share it.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or recognised experience in Education, Science, Technology or similar.
  • Relevant experience in a similar industry and working with children and young people.
  • Strong leadership and management skills and at least 5 years experience leading a high performing operational team.
  • Extensive experience in the development and delivery of STEM engagement experiences.
  • C Class manual driver's licence.
  • A desire to work collaboratively in a dynamic workplace with enthusiastic and interesting colleagues
