We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager to direct and manage Promaco’s business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs. Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will assist Promaco in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability and meeting business objectives.

The Role:

General Manager (part-time/full-time)

The Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinating business operations
  • Identifying business opportunities
  • Monitor financial activities
  • Monitoring and motivating staff
  • Managing branding and communication
  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts
  • Handling budgets and invoicing
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors
  • Handling logistics
  • All aspects of conference management

The ideal candidate:

  • University degree of events management, PR, marketing or business required
  • Master of Business Administration desired
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the events industry (academic conference & PCO role experience is an advantage)
  • Communication and marketing skills
  • Project management experience
  • Good leadership skills
  • Highly organized
  • Multi tasker
  • Good time management
  • Proficiency in various event software (Cvent is an advantage)
  • Expert interpersonal skills
  • Risk management experience

The General Manager should reinforce client-to-business relations and effectively deliver on event projects.

The employment can be between 3,5 days to full-time. Work days will be Monday-Friday with the occasional weekend.
