Tourism Officers - Maximum Term Full Time

Council is seeking enthusiastic personnel to join our experienced staff at the Wirrarri Visitor Information Centre in Birdsville. The Wirrarri Centre is the focal point for locals and tourists and hosts the Library and Gallery full of history and local artists. This position is a Maximum Term (Fulltime - March till October).

You will need to be organised, have great customer service and possess excellent computer skills. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and experience within the tourist sector at an iconic destination.

If you are an excellent communicator and are able to work independently you are encouraged to apply. 

Please note that this position will involve a Monday to Sunday 7 day work roster during peak tourist periods.

The hourly rate for this position, in accordance with the Queensland Local Government Industry Award State - 2017, is either $29.15/hr to $31.27/hr (including an above Award payment of 20%, and a remote area allowance depending on your circumstances.
