1. PURPOSE OF POSITION
We are currently expanding our development team and have an exciting opportunity for a mid-level .Net developer to join an experienced, established team within an agile environment. We are looking for a Software Developer who has a ‘can do’ attitude and experience in developing solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with various in-house developed systems. You will analyse, design, develop and support a number of complex, bespoke platforms and work in an end-to-end environment within a team that is both on and offshore.
This role would suit a software developer/programmer who has strong programming skills, developing software/solutions and has the ability to demonstrate ownership of the tasks from conception to completion. The applicant must also have premium communication both written and verbal and must have the consulting mindset that includes speaking to clients, be able to present solutions internally/externally and possess skills to convert business requirements to programmable solution.
2. SKILLS REQUIREMENT
4+ years commercial proven experience in .NET and C#, .NET Framework 4.5 and above
ASP.NET MVC, RESTful API, WCF, Entity Framework
Solid experience in OOP and Design Patterns
Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Strong knowledge of web-based technologies including IIS
Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, queries, view and stored procedures
Ability to provide technical and comprehensive documentation
Ability to interpret business requirements, perform technical analysis and provide development estimates.
Ability to understand customer expectations and respond appropriately
Self-starter with excellent organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to articulate concerns and risks on solutions
Must have Permanent Residency within Australia
3. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
This job requires initiative, confidence and relevant experience, as you will be relied on to produce quality solutions working to a deadline within the defined commercials and scope. You will work with a team of technical specialists and support staff, so good communication skills are essential. As a project resource, it is expected that you will be able to contribute to team meetings and provide task updates to keep project leads informed on progress at all time.
