Come and join the Team: You'll be joining a Global leader in the Locomotive and Rail industry, who is looking for several proactive and hardworking Locomotive Spray Painters to work alongside their existing team.

We are currently recruiting several experienced Spray Painters to join our engineering workshop team focused on the pneumatic and mechanical overhauls of locomotive braking and safety systems.

Within this role you'll need to demonstrate your workshop skills and great attitude whilst working alongside our highly experienced and supportive team.

It is expected that you would be familiar with the handling and operation of basic workshop power tools including grinders, drills and sanders, along with have some painting experience (spray booth). The ideal candidates will have the ability to quickly pick up and develop their mechanical skills in the assembly and dis-assembly and diagnostics of compressor units, valves and coupling units.

Applicants with the following experience and skills are highly sought after:

  • Experience in a mechanical environment (Engineering/ Mechanical Workshop)
  • Experience supporting senior tradesmen in a workshop environment
  • Experience operating power tools
  • Spray booth/painting systems /painting experience Ideal
  • Experience in a store’s environment - pick pack experience helpful

To be considered for this role you MUST have

  • WA Driving License and own transport
  • Be able to pass a full Pre-employment medical including DAS
  • Have full unrestricted work rights in Australia
  • Valid Forklift licence
  • White Card

This is a great chance to join a national specialist who are continuing their WA growth plans alongside NSW and SA expansions. You'll be based in Kewdale and offered a Monday to Friday position with typical hours (06:00 - 15:00) alongside occasional overtime and penalty rate Saturday's where required. This role has the potential to go from Temp to Perm for the right candidate.
