Area Manager QLD

Who Are We?

Capricorn is a member-based organisation which proudly supports over 20,000 businesses in the automotive industry across Australia and New Zealand.  We provide products and services that make our Members “Stronger with Capricorn” by supporting them to grow a sustainable business. These product and services include trade credit, risk protection, equipment finance, trade events, travel services, fuel cards and 24/7 online access to knowledge-based products and services.

The Role & What We Are Looking For

Capricorn's Area Managers develop business with our existing Members and Preferred Suppliers, as well as establishing new business within a designated Sales territory with the goal of achieving membership and sales growth for the organisation.  Based from your own home office, travelling to meet Members and Suppliers is key to this role and as such regular travel to rural areas away from home may be necessary based on the sales territory. This role will service the Gold Coast region.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven sales and/or relationship management experience with strong business and commercial acumen;
  • An understanding of the automotive parts and service industry, ideally having had experience working within the industry; and
  • A solid understanding of business and corporate legislation - particularly as it relates to cooperatives and the Trade Practices Act.

A Great Place to Work

When you join Capricorn, you join a community of people who enjoy coming to work and a company that genuinely invests in their team members. Our culture is one of our most valued assets, so when we recruit, we look for people that not only share our values but are also excited to celebrate our successes. We understand the importance of investing in our team members, that’s why we also have a significant benefits program. This includes but is not limited to:

  • A healthy budget for both internal and external development and training;
  • Salary continuance insurance for all permanent team members;
  • Wellness and fitness activities such as gym membership subsidy, flu vaccinations, skin checks and so much more;
  • Early access to long service leave at seven years and the option to purchase additional leave;
  • A comprehensive reward and recognition program;
  • Plenty of social events to keep our people connected.

The Next Steps

If you think this role is for you and you believe your values align with Capricorn’s, then please apply now. Applications will be reviewed as they arrive, so it’s better to apply sooner rather than later.
