Level 1 Service Desk Support

Randstad has partnered with a leading client in the education sector based in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne suburbs and they are on the lookout for an exceptional Level 1 & 2 Service Desk Technician to join their support team for a 12 month contract.

The role responsibilities:

In this role you will be providing end-user software and hardware troubleshooting and support, which will generally entail a mix of email queries, walk ups and project-work. The role is based in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne; however there will be travelling involved (once every while). The Level 1 Technician will be working with other Level 1 Supporters. Diagnosing hardware and software failures, communicate remediation plans to users, and provide status updates. You will also document all user requests and actions taken in their Zendesk ticketing system as well as support continuous improvement in the process and quality of Service Desk operations.

The ideal person will have:

  • Experience providing Level 1 Support in a small environment (this is a team of 7 people)
  • A delightful nature of wanting to help people
  • Experience using IT Service Management tools, primarily Zendesk
  • Experience in Microsoft InTune, Casper, Apple Deployment Program, Microsoft SCCM
  • Experience in supporting desktop users in both Windows and Apple
  • Experience in Microsoft Office365 or Active Directory
  • Understanding of print management and printer troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Eligibility to pass a Working With Children Check
