Administration Officer (Part-Time)

30.4 hours per fortnight (Job Share)
$31.61 - $35.12 per hour
22 Days Annual Leave (pro rata)
Up to 14.5% Superannuation

The Town of Cambridge has recently embarked on a journey to transform the organisation to one that is accountable and high performing, which also has a progressive and positive culture. The organisation is now very much focused on developing and ensuring a vibrant and sustainable future for the Town, one that better reflects the needs of the community.

Initially located in the Regulatory Services area assisting Rangers, Health, Building and Compliance; however, in general Administration Officers work closely with the Director and Managers of Planning and Development Directorate to provide administrative, secretarial and customer service to support as required. As part of a team of Administration Officers, this position works collaboratively supporting and sharing work as appropriate, and providing additional coverage for the service area as required.

Our 'People First' approach emphasises respect, high levels of internal and external service delivery, and a focus on continuously aligning our systems and processes to improve how they serve the people we work with.

Accordingly, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following;

  • Previous experience supporting administration in a busy, customer service focused environment.
  • Demonstrated competence with MS Office, excel and corporate information systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and keyboarding skills for accurate data input (alpha and numeric).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to provide high quality internal and external customer service and deal with some conflict
  • Effective time management and organisational skills with demonstrated initiative for problem solving on administrative matters
