What you'll be doing

The Radiology Clerk is one of importance to the smooth running of the Radiology Department. The position is the first point of contact between patients and the many services provided by the Radiology Department. The position will be responsible for providing assistance to all modalities within the busy Radiology Department, making sure a high standard of assistance is always available in the care and wellbeing of all patients and staff. 


You may be required to work some weekends, public holidays and be available for overtime.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:


  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them
  2. High attention to detail, ensuring all patient information is recorded correctly for clinical and billing purposes, whilst maintaining a continuous high standard of confidentiality
  3. Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively as a team member to always ensure effective service is provided to all patients and clients
  4. Demonstrated experience in administration and reception duties, including a busy phone system to provide a high level of customer service to patients, staff and other agencies across all areas such as handling enquiries from patients, Medical Staff, Emergency Department, Wards and patients requiring services and appointments
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to remain calm and pleasant
