About the role
ERM’s corporate strategy group, responsible for informing the design and direction of our strategy to support corporate growth and sustainability, has an opportunity for an experienced senior strategy analyst to join their team.
Reporting directly to the EGM Corporate Strategy, the senior strategy analyst will play a key role in analysing proposed strategies, opportunities and transactions identified using advanced modelling techniques in order to evaluate the suitability of progressing to a business case.
We’d love to hear from you if:
We are seeking an analyst who is tertiary qualified in statistics, maths, business or a related field with advanced skills using Microsoft excel and SQL (Tableau and/or Power BI would also be favourable). The successful candidate will also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a modelling or financial services capacity within strategy and/or commercial development. Experience and/or understanding of electricity retailing, financial markets, including futures would also be highly advantageous.
The incumbent will be required to form a detailed understanding of ERM’s business operations, whilst simultaneously monitoring the competitive landscape to support analysis and evolution of strategy. Additionally, the analyst must be comfortable proactively engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders and triangulating incomplete information from multiple sources to distil into credible and supportable views, within an appropriate timeframe and with a high degree of accuracy.
