Customer Service Officer

The Role

We are seeking a professional, highly motivated, energetic Customer Service Officer with a high level of enthusiasm and a passion for providing exceptional customer service to join our team in Hobart.  You will be responsible for providing professional, accurate and timely customer service and sales administrative support to our customers and the Sales Team.

You will have excellent communication, sales and customer service skills, the ability to foster relationships with a variety of different customers, proven time management skills and pride yourself on your ability to go above and beyond for our customers to ensure a positive customer experience.  You will have the ability to find solutions and have a proactive approach to upselling.

Previous experience in undertaking tasks associated with Customer Service, Support and Administration would be an advantage as well as experience in the hospitality or catering industry and familiarity with products used by the hospitality and catering industry. 

Working days are Monday to Friday with full time hours.

You will be responsible for various Customer Service activities including:

  • Providing customer service and sales support to our Customers and the Sales Team.
  • Answering incoming calls from customers dealing with orders, quotations and queries.
  • Data entry including sales order entry, preparing quotes, product research.
  • Customer Queries, RMA's, Credits & adhere to delivery schedules & cut-off times.
  • Maintaining existing account relationships by making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls to manage customer requirements.
  • Assist the Sales Team with day-to-day tasks and adhoc reports.
  • Liaise with purchasing, warehouse and accounts staff as required.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators

You will need to have:

  • 3 years or more experience in a similar phone based Customer Service role with experience in administration, data entry and customer support.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with well-developed professional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer Service focus and the ability to build and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer service, sales, purchasing, logistics, accounts receivable/payable.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to multi-skill and meet strict deadlines within a fast pace office environment.
  • Be able to identify solutions and solve problems to ensure positive customer experience.
  • Self-motivation with a strong team focus and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • High attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of data (alpha and numerical.)
  • Knowledge and skills using PRONTO or similar platform and intermediate Microsoft Office.
