Blast Crew Labourer - Expressions of Interest


MACA is a puiblicly listed, integrated contracting services group specialising in mining, civil construction, infrastructure and mineral processing equipment.  Our operations span across Australia and South America.

Our team of some 1,600 live and breathe our CAN-DO promise to ensure we deliver first class solutions to our clients, whilst providing a safe and great culture for our people.

Due to positions becoming available in the near future, we are looking for experienced Blast Crew Labourers who have an interest in joining the MACA team.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Priming blast holes
  • Loading of explosives
  • Detonating charges
  • Handling, storing and transporting exposives and accessories
  • Other duties in regard to supporting the Drill and Blast crew

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum of 2 years' as a Blast Crew Labourer with experience in Open Pit Mines
  • Dangerous Good Ticket
  • Driver's Licence (minimum Class LF)
  • Sound communication skills
  • Commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
