Human Resources Administrator

Our Engineered Services division provides hydraulic products and services to mining industry Australia wide. Majority of our employees work on remote mine sites, where our operations are 24/7 and we have been continuously growing our business on sites. Hence, this is a fast paced and challenging role where you will have exposure to a wide range of HR functions.

We are looking for a positive and passionate HR Administrator who will be responsible for supporting our busy Human Resources Department. Recruitment and Onboarding for our remote sites will be a crucial part of the role. The role is located in Welshpool, WA.

 

Selection Criteria

Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the successful candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
  • High attention to detail, and high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting, where you will be accountable for your own work
  • Ability to take initiative and work unsupervised when required
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize the tasks as required and meet tight deadlines
  • A positive and 'can do' attitude 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability and confidence to communicate to all levels within the company, including site employees and senior managers
  • Proven problem solving skills with the ability to find practical solutions in a timely manner
  • Experience in mining industry would be an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • High level of commitment 
  • Strong organisational skills and a desire to drive process efficiencies
  • Ability to improve as per the feedback received

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

-Assisting with the high volume of recruitment, including;

  • Conducting candidate pre-screenings where required
  • Organising the interviews
  • In the absence of the HRBP, conducting the interviews with the Line Managers
  • Sending the interview outcome emails to the candidates
  • Conducting reference checks as required

-Assisting with the on-boarding and mobilisation processes and meeting tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy, including;

  • Sending the employment documents to the new employees
  • Completing and checking received employment documents
  • Arranging medical and Drug and Alcohol tests as required
  • Booking site inductions and required pre-employment trainings as required
  • Coordinating additional onboarding requirements 
  • Updating Email databases accordingly

-Following up the induction and probationary period forms

-Arranging online HR inductions for new employees

-Providing admin assistance for any worker’s compensation claims and return to work programs

-Preparing and maintaining soft and hard copy personnel files

-Assisting with employee/ manager enquiries as required

-Scanning, filling, updating and maintaining relevant HR documents, reports, spreadsheets, personnel files with a high level of accuracy

-Preparing ad-hoc reports as required

-Assisting with training, termination of employment and other Human Resources functions

-Continuously improving the productivity and efficiency of the relevant HR processes
