CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER

The Head of Corporate Partnerships at West Australian Ballet is a mission critical role in ensuring the ongoing financial performance of the company. The position is responsible for successfully leading and driving corporate partnerships, sponsorships and other business development initiatives. In short, the person appointed to this role is accountable for raising corporate $’s, in particular NEW corporate $’s.

West Australian Ballet is WA’s flagship performing arts company. It performs a dynamic and extensive series of ballet and contemporary dance works in metropolitan Perth and regional Western Australia. The company invites applications from successful fundraising and/or sponsorship professionals who bring demonstrated networking and fundraising capabilities, together with strong stakeholder engagement skills across multiple sectors. Intending applicants must have the ability and confidence to approach, speak with and develop business relationships with senior leaders and executives from all areas of commerce, the professions, industry groups and foundations. Naturally this requires outstanding communication, negotiation, advocacy/presentation and interpersonal skills. Needless to say, an authentic and genuine passion for the work and the performing arts is essential.

At an operational level, you need to be able to work collaboratively and effectively with other management and creative staff of the company, as well as leading a small team yourself. You should be experienced in managing budgets, including forecasting and achieving financial outcomes.

Yes, the company is asking for a lot and expectations are high. In return, the company will offer a competitive base salary and superannuation plus a performance/results based incentive.
