About the role

A unique opportunity exists for a full time experienced Fitout Project Manager to join our Versatile Fitout team. Specialising in commercial, retail, hospitality and construction/refurbishment fitours, you will have the ability to showcase your existing skills and experience and grow within a successful company.

The role will see you managing all aspects of a project/s and ensuring they are delivered on time and meet the client's expectations. You will be expected to communicate with contractors, assist with tenders, coordinate meetings and resolve any problems which may arise.

Some of your duties include:

  • Manage expectations of our valuable clients to ensure repeat business for the company
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects
  • Coordinate subcontractor bid information, including distributing and tracking all bid documents, verifying receipt of subcontractor bids and ensuring bid dates are met
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budgets, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report to Project Director regularly on project status
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Director and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Work closely with site supervisors and site personnel; ensure project is delivered with quality and on time. Prepare all necessary site documentation
  • Contact subcontractors to obtain contract documents
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly cost report to Project Director and Commercial Manager
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in managing fitout construction projects is essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in related field preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding business acumen & an eye for detail
  • Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 3+ years relevant Project Management experience
  • Commercial and/or Airport experience not essential but preferred
