Business Support Officer - Maroochydore - Make a difference!

  • March 2020 to March 2021 | 37.5 hour week
  • Approx. $36 per hour + 9.5% superannuation
  • Mon - Fri | 37.5 hours | Maroochydore Location

Are you looking for a role where you can make a positive difference within the community and showcase strong customer service / administration skills? HOBAN is seeking applications for Business Support Officers to join a Federal Government Agency based in Maroochydore. 

As a Business Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for participants within the office. You will provide high quality professional, friendly and respectful management of telephone enquiries, reception duties and appointment processes.

What kind of responsibilities will I have?

  • Reception support for the local office including participant enquiries 
  • Provide administrative support to the local teams including the management of email and appointments
  • Coordination of appointments with the use of agency office facilities
  • Ensure facilities are neat and appropriately prepared for each participant
  • Undertake a range of data entry responsibilities.
  • Receive and record complaints and other feedback within the database

What are the benefits of this role?

  • Generous hourly rate of pay - approx. $36 per hour + 9.5% superannuation
  • Assignment commencement - Mid March 2020 to 15 March 2021 (subject to business requirements)
  • Maroochydore location - close to public transport / shopping precincts / street parking nearby
  • Ability to be paid weekly with an easy online timesheet submission
  • Full time hours (37.5), Monday - Friday
  • In-depth paid training provided
  • Supportive and interactive team culture 
  • Opportunity for assignment extension and career progression

What kind of experience/skillset are you looking for?

HOBAN is seeking applications with strong customer support experience and a contemporary attitude towards disability. 

  • Proven ability to manage and record confidential and sensitive information 
  • Proven ability to listen and able to be responsive to customers changing needs
  • Demonstrated decision making skills and ability to analyse information 
  • Demonstrated high volume / accuracy data entry skills 
  • Previous experience within an reception / business support environment (highly desirable) 
  • Previous experience within non-for-profit, disability, government sector (highly desirable)
