Are you passionate about building strong communities?

Council is seeking a motivated, proactive and passionate individual to join Councils Community Development Team. Working within an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) framework you will have the responsibility to work in partnership with communities, small towns, neighbourhood houses and volunteers to strengthen and support their links with council. 

You will apply capacity building approaches to progress and respond to community priorities and will have a key role to liaise between Council and Community to assist in the process of Community Plan implementation and other priorities as they arise.

Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to work with and relate to a wide range of community members and community groups, strong administration and project management skills, a commitment to community capacity building as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. A tertiary qualification in community development or relevant field is perferred.
