This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Engineering graduate to work with a commercial HVAC company based in Canberra.

The Junior Project Coordinator will coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment and information for projects, liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives, and ensure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve. The Junior Project Coordinator’s responsibilities include working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects including coordinating tasks (schedule and risk management) along with administrative duties (maintaining project documentation and handling site queries.

Your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • coordinating project management activities, resources, equipment and information
  • breaking projects into actions and set timeframes
  • liaising with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
  • assigning tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
  • ensuring clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
  • helping prepare budgets
  • analysing risks and opportunities
  • overseeing project procurement management
  • monitoring project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • acting as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • working with Site Managers and Project Managers to eliminate blockers
  • maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • tertiary qualifications in engineering
  • current drivers licence, White Card and asbestos awareness
  • ability to effectively manage client relationships
  • excellent people skills
  • professional and self-motivated attitude
  • positive approach to change and process improvement
  • effective time management and attention to detail
