We offer an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer ($65,650 - $74,462 plus 17% super) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU).   The full-time, continuing position is based at JCU in Townsville.

 

What you can accomplish in the role

Working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders you will ensure complete and accurate financial records are maintained as well as identifying and investigating issues as they arise, prescribing practicable solutions, and are innovative and proactive in recognising areas of efficiency.

 

What you will bring to the role

Working as part of a collaborative team you will enjoy contributing to a culture of high performance, you pride yourself on strong attention to detail and exceeding customer expectations – providing innovative, efficient and proactive solutions often within tight or conflicting deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders as well as the ability to review and analyse data and prepare reports.  Strong focus on Budgeting, Forecasting and Management reporting while paying close attention to detail and observing any contractual conditions, policies and regulations that may apply. Using your excellent customer service skills, you will utilize, analyse and problem solve to provide information and advice and deal effectively with complex issues.
