Administration Assistant

John Wardle Architects (JWA) is a highly creative design studio recognised for the quality of award-winning, finely detailed projects. JWA’s projects range from small to large scale in the areas of bespoke single residential, educational and public projects, health, multi-residential and commercial projects and urban design, that can be found throughout Australia. THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Assistant to join our light-filled, open plan, converted warehouse studio in Collingwood. You will provide support in a range of administrative areas.

Role Overview: 

  • Reception support 
  • Architectural library coordination
  • Catering & events support
  • Administrative tasks 

Requirements: 

  • Excellent communication skills, an ability to effectively engage with internal staff and external visitors equally
  • Well organised, methodical, flexible and ability to confidently and calmly deal with stressful situations
  • Confident, presentable with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Currently succeeding in a similar role
  • Ability to research, gather, analyse and communicate data and initiate actions
  • Ability to multi task and use your own initiative
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work assignments
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Love for all things design and/or being a part of a dynamic creative environment

You will be reporting to the Practice Coordinator.

We are looking for someone who likes to work in a lively and creative environment. This opportunity would suit someone who has a love of assisting a larger team in an administrative capacity being surrounded by all things design.
