Junior Web Developer

About Us

Maison De Sabré (MDS) is an online accessory powerhouse. They were founded in 2017 and are a family owned business. MDS operates like a lean start-up and have a very tight-knit culture. At MDS, they pride ourselves on their multi-cultured team and value the different ideologies cultures have in their respective work environments.

As we get further into 2020 our team needs to grow to support the continued increase in demand for our products globally. This newly created opportunity is just one of many that’ll ensure we’ll be able to meet our valued customers’ needs for years to come.

Working for Maison De Sabré as a Junior Web Developer will offer you more autonomy than most Team Lead Development opportunities offer nation-wide. Thus, MDS is searching for a special person; someone that is relatively new to the I.T. industry yet confident enough to adapt to the rapidly changing ecommerce industry and up-skill quickly with minimal guidance.

              Role Responsibilities

  • Review designs to ensure the best approach to development
  • Pay close attention to the quality of work and minor details
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical co-workers
  • Care deeply about best practices, standards and performance.
  • Understanding of how e-commerce websites should work
  • Integrate data from various back-end services when necessary
  • Provide user experience design advice

              Technical Requirements

  • Web Development knowledge, with appropriate experience ranging from minimal industry exposure up to 3 years commercial experience.
  • Use of modern CSS techniques including pre-processors, critical CSS, and implementing polyfills when necessary
  • Documented experience writing clean, readable, well-documented and modular JS, previous experience with JS frameworks a plus
  • Experience with responsive and cross-browser development and testing
  • Experience with the Liquid template language
  • Concise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have thorough understanding of Shopify
  • UX design experience is desirable but not essential (e.g. adobe illustrator, photoshop, wire framing)
If you feel like you align with the above criteria please apply or email James.Clark@blueoceansourcing.com.au directly for a confidential application.
