Field Engineer

The Role

  • Conduct engineering assignments, assessments, inspections and reports within clearly defined parameters and standards under general direction
  • Coordinate complex engineering reports entailing technical specifications and detailed planning, recommending changes to specification or design engineering policy as appropriate
  • Engineering expertise to support, guide and oversee our Consultation Services Group in the business
  • Provide engineering services within the boundaries of qualifications and competence as required to support the business
  • Interpretation of Australian Standards

As a confident and determined individual, you will have top-class client management and relationship skills, and be a well-organised self-starter. Reporting directly to the Engineer's Manager and based in our Bibra Lake office.

Main responsibilities

  • Carry out site inspections and reporting as per Australian Standards and Konecranes Consultation Services Guidelines
  • Carry out engineering assessments and reporting as per Australian Standards and Konecranes Consultation Services Guidelines
  • Certification of cranes and other equipment as required as part of the Consultation Services process
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Konecranes Consultation Engineers meet requirements of AS2550.1 for Major Inspection and Assessments
  • Carry out engineering designs or assessments as required
  • Extensive travel interstate

What we expect from you

  • Must be a member or Australian Engineering Association
  • Must have a relevant engineering degree
  • High competency with computer programs such as MS Office products and AutoCad
  • To show a high level of professional communication skills
  • Being available to travel at short notice and hold a current driver's license is essential
  • Confidence and respect for heights
