Lending Officer / Lending Assistant

The functions performed by the Customer Led Innovation division play a key role in helping to build strong connections with our customers.  The ability to transact and make payments in a manner that the customer chooses and that suits them, with ease and reliability is core to the foundations of the customer experience.

 

The role

The Credit Card Processing team has two positions available. These Lending Officer and Lending Assistant roles are both offered as 12 month contract opportunities.

The functions performed by the Lending Officer/Assistant assist in the growth of the Consumer Credit Card portfolio. Key responsibilities will include;

  • To assess, approve/decline or make recommendations for credit card applications in a timely manner which is satisfactory to both the customer and the bank
  • To provide high level of support and assistance to branch staff in a clear, concise and respectful manner
  • Maintain customer service enquiries in a manner that adheres to the bank’s standards and service levels
  • To provide support and assistance to staff in the department in a respectful and polite manner, in accordance with the Bank’s values in relation to service standards, efficiency, commitment and team building

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate/have;

  • A current DLA is preferred, but not essential (not required for Lending Assistant role)
  • Knowledge of Consumer Lending Policy
  • FSRA accreditation is preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong customer service
  • Accuracy & efficiency
  • The ability to make difficult/complex judgement decisions
