The opportunity:

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with strong multi-tasking and time-management capabilities to join a full finance function as an Accounts Receivable Officer. 

 

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Full function Accounts Receivable within a high-volume environment, direct invoice entry and bulk system upload and distribution 

  • Daily reconciliation of cash/EFTPOS deposits, allocations, and receipt processing, following up any variances (overs/unders) on a daily basis 

  • Preparing and distributing customer statements and follow up for collection 

  • Completing nominated bank reconciliations, investigating balancing issues, and posting adjustments

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring appropriate customer service and investigation of any issues 

  • Process month end reconciliations and journals, including cash in transit, unders/overs and accruals for any revenue receivable and banking or merchant fees

  • Assist in preparation of weekly cashflow spreadsheets. 

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a comparable accounts receivable role, including experience in reconciliations, journal posting and month end activities 

  • Excellent time-management and organisational capabilities with a “can do” attitude

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • An analytical, problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail

  • Team-player, with the ability to work under own direction to meet deadlines 

  • Belief that outstanding customer service is the key to success 

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Navision ERP software (NAV) is highly beneficial though we welcome applications from individuals with a broad range of ERP expertise
