Job description:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a capable professional to join our Oceania IT Infrastructure team. Based in our Melbourne headquarters, the role will work in collaboration with our APAC and Global teams to maintain our modern business-critical infrastructure, as well as contribute to exciting new projects in a dynamic and challenging environment.

 

To be the ideal candidate for this role you will have experience across a broad range of technologies, with solid practical background supporting corporate network and systems infrastructure. You will be well-equipped to maintain the existing core network: configure and install devices, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Additionally you’ll know your way around Server applications, with experience administering core enterprise systems.

 

Reporting to Head of IT Infrastructure & Services, Oceania, the main responsibilities of this role includes: 

  • Configure, maintain, monitor and support the organisation’s network, systems, and all related infrastructure
  • Evaluate new technologies and solutions, contribute to global and regional projects as required
  • Maintain technical documentation, adhere to company and compliance standards

 

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residence
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (eg. software development, engineering, etc) or relevant industry experience
  • Cisco Certification or equivalent - current CCNA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' networking and systems experience
  • Exposure to configuration and maintenance of cloud platforms – AWS preferred
  • Experience implementing security-focussed solutions – including endpoint protection, firewalls
  • Experience and knowledge of a broad range of technologies - especially VMWare, Windows Server, InTune, SCCM, Veeam, Citrix
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills to successfully deliver project work
  • Methodical, highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work productively and collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams
  • Effective communicator with stakeholders from all areas of the business
  • Maintain an agile approach, able to respond well to changing conditions
  • On-call availability to support mission-critical infrastructure
  • Flexibility with hours to perform essential afterhours maintenance tasks
