What this job involves

This is the perfect opportunity for a skilled Associate who is looking for an opportunity to further their career in property with a market leader.  The dynamic environment provides a highly diverse real estate role with exposure to all elements of the business. You will be responsible for providing analytical support to the team, in a busy role which works closely with internal and external clients. Your role will include market research, financial analysis, presentation and report presentation and transaction support.

JLL’s Strategic Consulting team is the market leading team for large scale infrastructure and real estate advisory services. The team has an unrivalled local, national and global track record for providing tailored commercial and market advice on many of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects, urban renewal precincts and development assets.

Key Tasks

Marketing

  • Assist in preparation of pitch documents and submissions
  • Preparation of Investment Memorandums, Expression of Interest documentation and associated marketing material
  • Management of the digital of case study library and proactively supporting the team to prepare new content as relevant
  • Preparation of submissions, reports and presentations to a high standard (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)

Analysis

  • Source, collate, review and analyse property market data
  • Analyse data and due diligence information relating to real estate assets
  • Develop and operate financial models and analysis (Excel, Estate Master)

Reporting

  • Prepare and format reports, submissions, briefs and presentations to a high / creative standard (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher) 
  • Prepare and deliver benchmarking and market commentary reports (including asset focused reports)

Administration

Use relevant finance and other software, on an as required basis, to:

  • Maintain & update relevant financial records and forecasts for all projects
  • Distribute financial reports (WIH & debtors)
  • Capture all new clients/contracts
  • Follow up client confirmed proposals and project initiation forms
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly forecasting reports
  • Raise, finalise and distribute invoices
  • Debtors management 
  • Maintain client files with all financial information 

Key Requirements for the Role

  • 8+ years’ experience working in real estate with a particular focus in the combination of infrastructure and real estate
  • Assessment of the performance of real estate assets and advising on strategies to maximise value
  • Strong written and analytical skills relevant to assessing the performance of real estate assets and markets
  • Efficient and proactive approach, with an ability to prioritise effectively
  • Tertiary qualification in real estate
  • Demonstrated ability of financial / market analysis, reporting, deal structuring and transaction negotiation
