Finance Officer

Moira Shire Council has a strong commitment to engaging with its community and working closely on the delivery of initiatives that make Moira a great place to live, work and invest.

We currently have an opportunity to join our Finance team and are seeking a motivated, experienced and highly organised Finance Officer to provide financial and accounting support to ensure compliance with Council’s financial policies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures and practices, great communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple task and timelines.

A high level of computer literacy is essential for this role, along with solid time management skills and previous experience in local government is desirable and would be looked upon favourably.

This is a permanent part time role (15.2 hours per week)
