TRAINEE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Are you interested in gaining a practical knowledge of transport and logistics, business systems, sales/business development, fleet, workshop, operations and contract/depot management with a view to becoming a future leader within a large National Transport Company ?

PERMANENT POSITION

THE ROLE

On offer is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to enter the Leadership / Trainee Operations Managers  Program.  This is a full time structured program developing core business skills, with graduates of the program going on to embrace exciting opportunities across  operations Australia wide.

The Trainee Program will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work across the various business units to gain an understanding of the various divisions within this large and successful company.  With the security of full time employment during this time and future career progression opportunities.

Interstate travel may be required to undertake training at different depots within Australia.

 

THE CANDIDATE

  • Must have completed a bachelor degree in either Business, Science, Logistics, Project Management, Engineering or have equivalent practical experience in one of these areas
  • Must be a dedicated self-starter who is not afraid of getting their hands dirty and learning the business from the ground up
  • Be practical, pragmatic, enjoy a challenge and have an interest in understanding and working in the waste management industry
  • Be interested in leading a team and managing people to achieve business goals
  • Have a willingness to be posted to a variety of sites to gain experience
  • Able to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical
  • Prior practical experience highly regarded
