Sport and Activities Co-ordinator 

Full time Permanent

Commencing 2020

  • Developing and implementing effective sporting activities within the College, including boarding
  • Developing collaborative and productive relationships with staff across the College to enhance the delivery of sports activities
  • Developing appropriate sporting partnerships with other schools and sports associations to enhance the delivery of sports activities
  • Planning and assisting in the delivery and monitoring of strength and conditioning fitness programs.
  • Overseeing the boarding activities program

Djarragun College is an independent school for students from Prep to Year 12 and is located in the unique and picturesque region of Gordonvale, just 20 minutes south of Cairns. Students can attend as day students or as boarding students.  Djarragun College is owned and operated by an Indigenous Australian Organisation.  Djarragun College is committed to delivering the standard of education long demanded by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Australia.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and talented Sport and Activities Co-ordinator who will be responsible for the overall management of effective sporting and fitness programs, using sport as a mechanism to increase school attendance, student wellbeing, retention, and positive behaviour.      

The position will also be responsible for co-ordinating and developing our boarding activities program.
