Senior Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting a Senior Management Accountant reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. You will be responsible for managing all day to day Financial Accounting, Financial reporting, Financial Planning, Compliance, Control Tax and Treasury activates in conjunction with the international activities. Further, you will provide analytical support and meaningful finical advice to the business.

You will be suited for this role if you are an experienced Financial Accountant who needs little to no guidance to full fill the day to day requirements and wants to transition into an Analyst role and develop analytical skills to manage the macro drivers of the business such as asset and expense management. Your self-driven and can do attitude will be essential during our global transition process.

Key elements/responsibilities of the role:

  • Review local, external, and international financial monthly reports
  • Co-ordinate the annual transfer pricing review
  • Prepare annual financial and statutory accounts.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of key balance sheet and P&L including inventory, COGs, rebates, freight etc
  • Coordinate the relationship with the accounting Shared services team in the UK.
  • Produce variance analysis included with P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows
  • Co-ordinate completion of annual plan and forecasts and all “non-product” budgets, in collaboration with cost centre owners.
  • Critically analyse non-product expenditure and actively challenge and foster accountability of cost centre owners
  • Support the consolidation of sales and non-product budgets to determine planned EBIT
  • Challenge budget costing assumptions through application of business data
  • Manage balance sheet and cash flow forecasts
  • In conjunction with external tax advisors, accurately complete annual income tax returns for Australia and New Zealand
  • Supervise and oversee completion of GST, WHT and FBT return submissions
  • Partner with the Commercial Business Partners to actively monitor contract impairments and report on customers who are not achieving contractual commitments.
  • Ensure that high quality and accurate procedures and processes are followed for the monitoring and updating of Hallmark or external provided system

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualified with an accounting or business related discipline
  • CPA/CA qualified
  • Strong excel skills
  • 5 year plus experience in financial accountant role
  • Highly analytical thought process
  • Highly adaptable in an environment of transition and ambiguity
