ABSTEC Calibrations is an independent NATA accredited company which has been operating for over 20 years.

We perform calibrations and maintenance of measuring and testing equipment across many businesses and industries around Australia such as: Defence, Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Manufacturing, Medical, Aviation, and Automotive.

We are currently seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to join our unique specialist calibration business located in Adelaide. 

The office is located in Beverley, South Australia.

The position is full time.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to calibration within the following fields:

  • Temperature equipment (Digital Thermometers, Temperature Probes)
  • Dimensional (Micrometers, Callipers, Plug/Ring Gauges, Setting Rods, Rules & Tapes)
  • Pressure (Pressure Gauges, Pressure Transducers, Vacuum Gauges, Manometers)

We will provide you with the opportunity to perform laboratory and service work at the office as well as out in the field when needed. You will gain great exposure to many facets of calibration whilst interacting with clients and suppliers within a range of service activities.

To be successful in this role you are required to have one of the following:

  • Experience in one or more of the above fields working within an ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory
  • Qualifications relating to one or more of the above fields
  • Trade, Diploma or Engineering Degree in an associated field

Essential requirements for the Role:

  • Prior experience in a NATA Laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and working in a regulated environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Australian Citizenship
  • High attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Good understanding of excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to work well in a team or on your own
  • An eagerness to learn
  • Comprehensive computer skills including MS Office
  • Willingness to learn internal systems
  • The ability to effectively interact with clients
  • Valid driver's license
