Our client is a global leader in smart technologies and life-cycle solutions for the marine and energy markets. Its business enables sustainable societies through the use of smart technology.

It is currently seeking a Legal Counsel to join its office in Sydney’s Western Suburbs.

The Role

As the first in-house lawyer for the Australian arm of this global company, this is a rare opportunity to work closely with the company’s local management team and stakeholders and really make your mark by establishing the Australian legal function.

You will also provide training to the business where necessary on relevant legal and compliance issues and will attend local management meetings.

Additionally, you will work with and support the Middle East & Asia legal team where required on overseas matters.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least 5 years PAE as an in-house Legal Counsel at a multinational corporation, or alternatively 5+ years PAE in corporate/commercial law gained at an international law firm;
