About Albany Community Legal Centre
The Albany Community Legal Centre is a community led independent agency that has provided legal and advocacy services for the Great Southern community of Western Australia since 1995. We provide legal infomation and advice, undertake negotiation, court representation and conduct community legal education sessions. We engage in advocacy to address systemic justice issues within our community. We work with other partner agencies in the local community to break down barriers which prevent access to justice in the Great Southern region.
About The Role
We seek a part-time Solicitor to join our Albany office until 30 June 2021 (with extension subject to funding). This role is part time, 22.5 hours per week. Additional hours may be available to the successful candidate. Salary is set in accordance with Level 7 of the SCHADS Award.
Our solicitors assist our community through -
Providing generalist legal advice to clients in Albany and the broader Great Southern region
Providing casework to identified priority client groups through the region
- Participating in the development and delivery of the ACLC’s community legal education programmes
