ILS Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to join the Naval Design and Engineering Centre in its Melbourne, Docklands office.  You will be responsible for working within the ILS division to deliver ILS artefacts for naval ships and will be working alongside a fun, dynamic team of  multi-disciplined Engineers.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high level of ILS advice and support based on relevant experience and knowledge
  • Deliver ILS artefacts including:
  • Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis 
  • Level of Repair Analysis 
  • Reliability Centred Maintenance 
  • Task Analysis 
  • Life Cycle Cost 
  • Planned Maintenance Documentation 
  • Technical Maintenance Plan
  • Logistic Support Analysis Record updates
  • Review and amendment of Technical Publications
  • Manage ILS related Minor Changes, including the development of project plan, schedule, deliverables and engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilise various ILS tools such as MC Catalogue, NATO MCRL, APLCRATES, NAVALLOW, and MADe

 

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline
  • 5 years of proven experience in undertaking ILS Engineering roles, preferably in a Defence environment
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering and more specifically, how ILS Engineering fits within Systems Engineering processes
  • Strong understanding of ILS processes and procedures
  • Experience working on ILS products 
  • Strong understanding of Naval maintenance procedures and tools
  • Working knowledge in the Naval Engineering Change Process
  • Working knowledge in Naval systems (such as Configuration Management Tool-Unified (CMTU), Asset Management and Planning System (AMPS) and Navy Allowances Database (NAVALLOW)
  • Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance to a minimum of Baseline
