Our client is a Sydney-based creative and production studio with over 20 permanent staff. The company uses an ever-expanding digital toolkit to tell new stories and design new experiences. Based in Alexandria their award-winning work includes interactive gallery installations, interactive theatre productions, projection mapping, VR experiences, 360º films, installation video and traditional films. The studio consists of designers, technologists, film makers, engineers and production specialists who deliver large-scale projects for cultural institutions, including the State Library of NSW, ACMI, Arts Centre Melbourne and Melbourne Museum, as well as content and digital production for Google, SBS, The Royal Shakespeare Company and Punchdrunk.

The Head of Operations is an exciting new opportunity to expand the company operations within existing as well new markets, such as built environment locally and extend existing museum and cultural services work internationally. Reporting to the Board the role will support the day to day operations covering HR, Finance and resourcing functions as well as implement the company’s strategic vision. Being both hands on and strategic the role will suit a candidate hungry to explore new opportunities and someone who thrives in a casual environment that appreciates humour and a collaborative leadership style. You will also have implemented business improvement processes and systems that support the business development and growth into new areas.

Suitable candidates will have leadership experience in managing a studio-model company or similar. You will have a proven track record of growth and have extensive industry contacts with a rich network of collaborators. Experience in capital raising or b2b or b2c production releases would be an advantage.
