Holiday Park Customer Service Officer

What are we looking for?

We currently have an opportunity for a part time Customer Service Officer at BIG4 The Bend Holiday Park.  Ideally the successful applicant will have a background in tourism, hospitality or reception.  The Customer Service Officer will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support services for the Holiday Park working 2 days and on call 2 nights a week staying on site.

The Bend Motorsport Park, situated in Tailem Bend is a state of the art, world class multi-purpose facility, built for all motoring disciplines. As part of the Motorsport Park, BIG4 The Bend Holiday Park is a brand new facility, offering accommodation options to suit all budgets. Already, with exceptional standards of customer service and cleanliness, the Holiday Park services not only motorsport enthusiasts, but fosters a family friendly environment with facilities to entertain both the young and old.

Your responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Working as part of a team to maintain an exceptional standard of customer service and presentation throughout the park
  • Provide administrative and operational support services including management of reception desk, accommodation sales and general office duties
  • Following procedures to handle complaints or emergencies should they arise
  • Varied hours ranging from 8am to 7pm, over a 7 day a week roster, may include public holidays
  • Supervising the team in the absence of the Holiday Park Manager
  • Checking guests in and out as well as dealing with enquires
  • Working with PMS (Newbook) to manage reservations and client accounts
  • General cleaning duties when required

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • The ability to work unsupervised and maintain exceptional standards across the park
  • The ability to multi – task, prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Holiday park / accommodation experience desirable
  • Knowledge of Newbook or other property management systems will be an advantage
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and other office applications
  • The ability to thrive in a varied role which may include, but is not limited to:  Operating kids clubs, undertaking housekeeping tasks, assisting with preparation and implementation of events
  • Current police clearance, or able to obtain one
  • Current first aid certificate, or able to obtain one
  • DCSI Working with Children certificate will be an advantage
  • Drivers licence
