Sports Coach - Soccer

Guildford Grammar School employs coaches of varying abilities to support the School’s comprehensive sports and co-curricular programs. We welcome expressions of interest from enthusiastic individuals to work under the supervision of our staff to support these programs.

We are currently seeking a part-time (seasonal) position for a Sports Coach to train Soccer in the Senior School. We are interested in applications from people with diverse qualifications and experience.  Success in a particular field or experience is advantageous but not essential; having a passion for personal excellence is. The School encourages applications from highly experienced coaches and athletes alongside enthusiastic individuals keen to work in our sports and co-curricular areas.

To be considered for this role at Guildford Grammar School please provide us with a letter detailing why you are interested and how you feel you can contribute to our programs along with a current resume that includes the details of at least two referees.

Before successful applicants are able to commence work our Human Resources Department will assist them to meet the School’s pre-employment requirements including completing Working with Children Check (if you don’t already have one); necessary employment paperwork and completing an online induction program.

Guildford Grammar School pays staff on the basis of a competitive scale. Qualifications and experience will determine the applicable rate of pay. Please upload copies of your related qualifications/experience in the relevant sections as part of your application.

Selection Criteria:

  • The ability to work effectively whilst unsupervised
  • Be comfortable interacting with children aged 12-18 years of age
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Purpose and Vision of the School
  • Be well organised and understand and work with a high O H & S value
  • Possess a strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement and the achievement of high standards
  • Be able to quickly and genuinely build rapport with students and colleagues both within the Sport Department and more broadly across the School

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience and qualifications in Soccer
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of ‘Duty of Care’ and place a high value on Child Protection and well-being
