Technical Consultant


We are looking for a mobile app developer with experience across (iOS) mobile, HTML5 and API web service development. The Senior Technical Consultant will have hands-on responsibility for implementation and on-site education of clients in the use and deployment of all products.  

You will enjoy working autonomously under the direction of a project manager and/or other principal technical personnel.  And you will evangelize the technology and offerings to prospective customers, both in educating prospects regarding biometrics, solution pros/cons, and general architecture advantages/disadvantages.
  
Role Responsibilities:
  • Development (coding and unit testing) of various product artefacts as required using variety of mobile and backend technologies – including Objective-C/Swift, Android/Java, HTML5, API Services, JSON and SQL technologies
  • Derive product and software requirements from proposed system solutions
  • Design, development, and deployment of customer solutions 
  • Participate in the gathering of functional requirements
  • Document design decisions and deliver all design collaterals
  • Identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions to Clients, Principal Consultant or Project Manager
  • Assist in producing project deliverables on time and that satisfy client requirements
  • Communicate regularly with Principal Consultant or project manager about task status
  • Provide onsite product and solution support to existing customers
  • May perform functions of Principal Consultant on small to mid-size projects or in the temporary absence of the senior consultant
  • Assist in identification of project requirements, strategies and schedules in support of engagement letter(s) and contract(s).
  • Working closely to support the Field (Direct & Partner) Sales teams, including educating prospective customers about all products. This includes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, and follow up on all customer related issues.
Required Technical Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar customer facing role
  • Deep specialist knowledge in mobile technologies and the iOS Platform, with strong working knowledge of the Android Platform
  • iOS app development across both Objective-c and Swift.
  • Strong mobile UI/UX design experience
  • Strong API web service design and development experience. In particular, experience of enterprise system integration issues (reliability, scalability, transactionality, security etc.)
  • Exposure to, and development knowledge of, enterprise relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Experience with web servers and application servers such as Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated experience working with customers in customer environments
  
Desirable Technical Skills:
  • Experience in information security, biometrics, PKI infrastructures and large financial organizations is a major plus
  • AWS and its various services (EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, Route53)
  • And understanding of Identity & Access Management architectures and products (e.g. Forgerock, Ping Identity)
