Dump Truck Operator - FIFO

About the business and the role

MLG Oz is a West Australian owned and operated business with operations located throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory.  Starting as a small contractor providing silica mining & haulage services for BHP Billiton back in 2000, our operations have since expanded to include crushing and screening, quarry products, bulk transport services and site civil works. 

About the role

MLG are currently seeking an experienced Dump Truck Operator to join our Agnew operations.

  • FIFO ex Perth 
  • 2:1 Roster dayshift and nightshift

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Minimum 6 months' previous experience driving dump trucks.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanics, general maintenance requirements and associated procedures.
  • Personal initiative, motivation and drive
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to achieve work outcomes
  • Must work well as part of a team
  • Sound record keeping skills and level of accuracy and numeracy skills, transferable to the position.
  • Good knowledge of workshop, mine site and mobile crushing operations.

    The following will also be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience working on remote mine sites.
  • Relevant certificates of competency/nationally accredited tickets and alternate mine site experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary work teams.
  • Previous 2:1 roster and FIFO experience.

There is a possibility of being trained on the above, if you don't have all of the relevant experience listed.

To be considered for this role, successful applicants will possess or able obtain the following:

  • Current Australian HR Driver's License.
  • National police check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Must provide current & contactable references
