Our client, a registered NDIS provider is currently recruiting Service Manager in the Diability Accommodation space, to provide leadership and people management in the Supported Accommodation setting of their Croydon house. This role is accountable for ensuring that all the clients in the house receive person-centred support and services that meet their individual plans whilst being consistent with their funded service agreement.

 

To be successful in this role you must have;

  • Minimum Cert IV in Disability or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the disability industry, NDIS or Day Services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Disability Services Framework (NDIS, Icare & Day Services)
  • Previous experience dealing with government funded programs and day services
  • Previous experience with behaviours of concerns, in some case restrictive practices
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Demonstrated ability to face challenges and determine best possible solutions
  • High level of organisational skills demonstrating high discipline, management of workload and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with high attention to detail
  • Clear National Police Check – International Police Check required if you have lived in a country other than Australia for a period of 12 months in the last 10 years
  • Employment Working With Children’s Check

 

In this role you will be responsible for;

  • Training, mentoring and rostering staff to deliver services to clients while working on developing and maintaining team morale and professional relationships with clients.
  • Leading, planning and supporting people with disabilities within the home to participate in a range of life areas based on the goals of individual support plans
  • Responding to changes in the clients needs, ensuring respect, consideration and unconditional positive regard are exercised at all times
  • Complete administration of clients service agreements and NDIA plans, monitoring all progress notes in Carelink on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Reporting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives while responding to incidents, providing feedback, and ensuring all complaints and compliments are dealt with appropriately
  • Positively engaging with clients and their families, conveying information on medical services, NDIS and other community services to help meet daily client needs and/or plans.
  • Budgeting and financial management, providing quotes for Day Service program
  • Ensuring staff adhere to state and federal government legislative requirements and comply with disability service standards, policies and procedures.
