Signal Technician

RMC Rail Services provides track maintenance, Construction and Signalling and Electrical teams to deliver a wide range of services across Australia. RMC has established depots in Western Australia, Central Queensland and NSW to provide the highest quality service to key clients in mining, resources and the intermodal freight business.
 
We have a reputation based on quality, capability and on time delivery, built from on-ground capability.
 
RMC Rail Services continues to experience strong growth and are currently seeking Signal Technicians for our up and coming Projects.

What you need to be successful in this role:
  • A POSITIVE, “CAN DO” attitude is essential
  • Must be available and flexible for reactive work opportunities
  • You will be required to carry out works along the rail corridor.
  • A desire to work in the Rail Industry
  • Rail Industry Workers Card (RIW) would be an advantage.
  • Experienced in routine effective, efficient & safe first-line maintenance and repairs.
  • Submit and maintain maintenance records of equipment serviced, repaired and altered
  • Knowledge of rail asset protection systems.
  • Demonstrated fault finding capability
  • Microlock and signalling systems knowledge advantageous.
  • Computer literate including basic Windows, Microsoft office and other relevant programs.
  • A current Australian drivers’ licence
  • You must hold a current WA Electrical Licence and a WA Construction White Card/Blue Card
  • Previous Rail experience and current high-risk tickets could be advantageous
  • Able to complete and pass all required Compliance testing and pre-employment health assessments, inclusive of ongoing D&A testing
  • A proven track record of punctuality and good attribute to work within a team environment, as well as working autonomously
  • Recognised Rail Certification - Advantageous
