About the opportunity

  • Permanent, full time position
  • Working within a team in a workshop environment
  • Focus on maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment.

This position will contribute to the provision of a quality service as required in the maintenance and/or repair of Council’s vehicles, plant and equipment and will also provide a proficient truck cleaning and minor servicing service at the Rooty Hill Depot. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • School certificate or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years related work experience
  • Current Class “HR” driver’s licence
  • Confined spaces legislation certificate.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • A competitive salary range of $980.30 - $1,097.80 (Grade 3) per week will be offered based on skills, qualifications and experience
  • 38 hour working week
  • Hours of work are 9:00am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 9.5% employer superannuation contribution payable to the Local Government Superannuation Scheme, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
