We are seeking a results focussed individual with who enjoys delivering excellence in every facet of their profession. Someone connected, aware and engaged. The applicant must hold a landscape architecture or architecture degree, have a minimum 5 years proven experience as an Architect or Architectural Draftsperson on prestigious bespoke residential and commercial projects.

This position is a shared leadership role instigating, developing and delivering practice goals in our outstanding, dynamic, holistic design service. Excellence in delivery, collaboration, communication, talent development and technical competencies are paramount.

The role is multi-faceted and requires a wide skill base. The successful applicant will thrive on variation in their work, enjoying moving between facets of the business to gain a wider and deeper understanding of the mechanics of design and the practice. Essential Attributes:

  • Ability to translate pressure into output and take a proactive, solutions-based approach.
  • Highly accountability, reporting weekly to the Creative Director on project status.
  • Excellent knowledge of all operational and regulatory aspects of landscape architectural and building design practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a deep understanding of communication across cultures, professions. Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Understands and uses positional authority to deliver messages calmly and effectively.
  • A flexible approach to work assignments and new learning; leading by example.
  • Ability to adopt and work according to 'high performance culture principles' and to ensure implementation of these values in project/program team(s).
  • Proven capability to inspire cross-functional teams to collaborate and deliver.
  • Adept at managing multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritizing workloads without  sacrificing attention to detail.

  • Proven extensive portfolio of working experience on luxury boutique projects of meaning.




Fiscal Literacy & Planning:

  • Assist the Director with the preparation of fee proposals including understanding margins and proposal elements.
  • Schedule tasks and timelines for each project in accordance with fee proposals and their assumed programs to ensure deadlines are met and BD standards are upheld.
  • Assign team members and project leaders to specific projects and tasks, in discussion with the Director and team.
  • In collaboration with Director and team members, participate in and lead programming workshops as required to assign resources, ensuring delivery of projects is aligned with monthly fiscal targets.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to Director on project status and general tasks, tracking resources and budgets for individual projects.



Architectural Draftsperson:

  • Where required, deliver projects, in each stage, in line with Creative Director’s vision and client brief, collaboratively leading team members, clients, consultants and contractors on the journey from initial brief to project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the Company Director to deliver projects supplying him with the information and the tools to complete complex design programs.
  • Identify discrepancies and errors or omissions in service delivery, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Work collaboratively and with initiative, embracing our practices core values and refining our systems, operations and procedures.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget and beyond client expectations.
  • Ensure multiple projects are effectively managed to achieve design and technical excellence.
  • Maintain oversight and control of midsize to large, complex landscape and structural projects.
  • Manage and mentor an expanding team of professionals.
  • As part of the leadership team you will contributing to the overall business strategy and success.
  • Maintain and encourage and develop a nurturing, mentoring and supportive culture.


Applicant must possess a thorough knowledge of and excellent standards in:

  • A bachelor degree and at least 5 years of full time relevant work experience
  • AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Office and 3D modelling software
  • Graphic Design and Production
  • Proven depth of experience, knowledge and skills preparing -to an excellent standard - Design Development documentation and Specifications including coordinating external consultant advice and documentation within drawing packages.
  • Delivering Schematic Presentation Drawings, Detailing, Design Development Drawings, Contract Documentation Packages & Landscape Technical Specifications
  • Contract Administration / Project Management
  • Written, verbal & graphic communication
  • Proofing and editing own work and work of others
  • Working as a team, working independently and collaborating with a range of consultants
  • Time management and organisation, following instructions and protocols
  • Creative contribution, seeking new ideas and approaches
  • Prioritisation, delegation – understanding the strengths of team members - and targeting deadlines
  • Construction, architecture, design and horticulture
