Contracting Officer

Materiel Procurement Branch as part of Commercial Division, within Defence’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), is calling for applications from talented, high performing individuals with public and/or private sector experience to provide commercial support and expertise to Australia’s largest and most complex capability projects.  We have a number of positions available across the country.

 

As a Contracting Officer, you will be:

  • Highly motivated and solutions focused, with the ability to present ideas persuasively.
  • A critical thinker, skilled listener and effective communicator.
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment and achieve shared objectives.
  • Willing to challenge the traditional ways of doing business.
  • Trustworthy, transparent and possess the highest levels of integrity.
  • Confident and professional when engaging with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority.

 

Successful applicants will ideally have:

  • Demonstrated commercial experience in either the public or private sector.
  • Qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, Finance, Contract Management and/or Procurement are not required, but would be considered an advantage.
