Service Stream are a national service provider to the telecommunications and utilities industries. We specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of new and existing networks on behalf of our blue chip client base.

 

About the role

Service Stream is Australia's leading provider of metering services. We are looking for casual electricity meter readers to work in the Adelaide Metropolitan area up to 30-37.5 hours per week.

As an electricity meter reader you will be allocated work on a daily basis, drive to a location and walk a defined area.

 

 Your duties will involve:

*Walking 15-20km per day

*Obtaining and entering meter readings into a hand held data device

*Ensuring that all incidents including customer contact, faulty equipment and safety are reported to management

*Communication with customers and office staff

*Rain, hail or shine you will be required to be in the field

 

 The following criteria must be met:

*Have Australian citizenship or permanent residency

*Ability to obtain a clean police clearance

*Hold a current driver's licence and have a reliable vehicle

*Have a mobile phone

*Commitment to work at least 6 to 7.5 hours per day

*You must be self-motivated, possess good work ethics and be reliable

*This is an on-going casual role that offers up to 30-37.5 hours per week.

 

Meter reading requires a high level of fitness and stamina. We encourage you to increase your fitness before applying to increase your chances of passing our fitness and assessment process.
