Why you should consider a move to Hobart:

Tasmania is beautiful!

Tasmania is blessed with stunning natural beauty with rich diversity of plant-life, animal-life and gorgeous landscapes which can be enjoyed year round. There are over 2000 kms of walking tracks, national parks and reserves make up more than ⅓ of the island.

The cost of living is less than in bigger cities.

There is a thriving food and wine scene and a fabulous arts and culture scene, even in the dead of winter.

Daily commutes are more than reasonable and the pace of life is slower with only 500,000 people living on the whole island.

We can support you to relocate!

About The Hobart Clinic:

The Hobart Clinic is Tasmania's leading not-for-profit private mental health facility.

We are a 27 bed facility situated on 7 acres on Hobart's picturesque Eastern Shore.  Just a short commute to the centre of Hobart, we are able to offer a tranquil environment to aid recovery of our patients.

At the heart of The Hobart Clinic are our four core values - Inspired, Teamwork, Growth Mindset, Brave - which guide everything we do and direct us towards our mission to, 'provide mental health services for consumers, families and the community, in recognition that mental health is something that affects us all'.

We are committed to promoting hope, wellbeing and autonomy in recovery.

About the Role:

Our amazing nurses work closely in a small multi-disciplinary team to provide quality patient centred care to our inpatients, who mostly suffer from common, recurrent conditions.  Our facility is voluntary and our patients have a genuine desire to manage their conditions.

About You:

You are an experienced mental health nurse with a passion for what you do.  You will thrive in a small multi-disciplined team environment and be confident in developing individual care plans with the patient and where applicable, their support people.  You are confident in implementing comprehensive, technical nursing procedures and ensuring compliance to The Hobart Clinic’s policies and the broader healthcare standards framework within which we operate.
