Laboratory Technician

Kelly Scientific is looking for a Laboratory Technician.


Our client is a leading FMCG company with a rich and diverse history in Australia. They manufacture, sell and market a range of well-recognized household products as well as create innovative and new-to-market products.

The successful candidate is expected to support:

  • Carries out testing of samples according to procedure in excellent quality and timely manner.
  • Ensures that all equipment is properly maintained, methods are verified for the scope of usage, executed and documented as per quality system and accreditation requirements.
  • Extends skills and competencies according to sections needs and development plan and implements new methods as needed by the business.

Degree qualified in Food Science or Applied Science To be considered for this role, you will meet the following essential criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (microbiology, chemistry, food technology or other related fields)

  • Previous experience in another laboratory or analytical environment is an asset

  • Chem Section: Experience with Dry and Wet Chemistry, Gas Chromatography (GC), High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Inductive Couple Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer (ICP) etc.and understanding of its field of application.

  • Micro Section: Experience with pathogen and general micro testing using traditional and instrumental testing (ELISA, PCR) methods. Knowledge of micro media prepation and related quality control.
