The Position

St John of God Health Care is seeking a Communication Officer to join the Group Marketing and Corporate Affairs team. As a Communication Officer, you are to assist in day to day internal communication activities that promote St John of God Health Care’s (SJGHC) Mission, brand and services and safeguard its image and reputation.

This role will be offered on a permanent full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or nearing completion of a relevant tertiary qualification or industry experience in a comparable role.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Good project management skills (formal project management qualifications are not required).
  • Be able to flourish under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in news and current affairs.
  • Hands on team player with can-do attitude.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Outstanding writing skills and ability to produce clear and compelling information simply and consistently.
  • Good relationship-building skills.
