Marketing and Events Coordinator

Northern Territory PHN leads the development and coordination of an equitable, comprehensive primary health care system and an engaged health workforce driven by community needs.

 

Salary: $72,664 Pro-rata + Superannuation

Benefits:  Generous salary packaging, six weeks annual leave and flexible working arrangements

Location:  Darwin or Alice Springs, Part time

Maximum Term to 30 June 2021

 

About the Opportunity

NT PHN has a small Marketing and Communications team that delivers strategic communication and media services and advice internally.  The Marketing and Events Coordinator is a key support role where the successful candidate will work collaboratively across the organisation to coordinate external NT PHN event logistics, produce communication collateral and develop and produce content for social media platforms, e-newsletters and other channels.

The role includes managing event requirements such as venue bookings, catering, photographers, running sheets and other planning activities and will work in collaboration with three other Marketing and Communications staff to support the delivery of these key activities.

About You

Your excellent communication skills and proven ability to build collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners and suppliers, set you apart from the rest.  You hold personal qualities of energy, initiative and commitment to teamwork and collaboration and respect for others, along with an ability to take an adaptive approach to innovation and continuous improvement.

You have experience working in a marketing and communications team and strive to achieve the best outcomes when it comes to producing communication material for use across many platforms including collateral, social media and our website.

You have experience or qualifications in either Marketing and Communication or Events Management and the ability to work in an environment that requires cultural sensitivity.  You can also demonstrate a high level of computer literacy and attention to detail and are able to manage multiple tasks, working to competing deadlines.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Qualifications in Marketing, Communications or Events Management or the equivalent experience
  • High levels of computer literacy and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (with Adobe, Canva or other desktop publishing experience a bonus)
  • Experience working in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity
  • Personal qualities of energy, initiative, flexibility, commitment to teamwork and collaboration and respect for others
  • Ability to work autonomously, coordinate multiple activities and prioritise competing deadlines
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to travel within the Northern Territory as required.
